$$ Black Cod $$

Glancing through the Life insert in the Friday Herald, I noticed a recipe for honey-marinated black cod. Sounds good, right?

To serve 6, the recipe calls for 2 cups of honey, 1 cup of (low-sodium) soy sauce, 3/4 cup grapeseed oil, and 3/4 cup white wine vinegar.

Four and one-half cups of marinade for six white fish filets? And gourmet marinade ingredients, not run of the mill stuff. That chef must not be the one who pays for the groceries.
